Q: Did all five of you write this? How did you do that?
A: Yes, all five of us wrote Fractured Fate. Each of us wrote from the point of view of a different character. We decided together who would write which scenes.
Q: What is this book about?
A: See “About” above.
Q: What is your target age range?
A: Fractured Fate is a young adult novel, so our target age group is teenagers, but we’ve had positive reviews from much older and younger readers. We recommend Fractured Fate to ages 10+.
Q: Was this for a class?
A: Yes and no. The five of us met through a creative writing class in 2010 which we took together, and once the class came to an end we knew we wanted to take it again because we all had so much fun improving our writing and reading each other’s work. Instead, after much discussion, we decided to write a collaborative book. In January 2011, we started meeting once a week to plan and write this book. It took a lot of work to decide what to write and how, but in the end we came out with a real, complete, full length novel: Fractured Fate.
Q: What are you doing with the proceeds?
A: Believe it or not, this really is a frequently asked question. The answer is the same one as most authors give—the proceeds are split between the publisher and the author(s). Books take time, effort, and supplies in order to be made, and everyone who contributed is paid fairly.
Q: Will there be a sequel?
A: This is a very good question! The answer is a bit complicated to give since there are five authors. We all enjoyed writing Fractured Fate, but we have not yet decided if and when sequels will be written. Keep checking the Fractured Fate official website for updates.
Q: When does the movie come out?
